The course "Database Basics and SQL Language" is a course for students who want to learn and familiarize themselves with how databases work and how to use them in practice in the context of creating advanced solutions used in almost every web application needed for the proper functioning of many applications. During the course participants will learn how to create databases and work with them using SQL language. For this purpose the database query language - SQL will be used, which is universal and commonly used in business and commercial projects.

Program tečaja

The aim of the lesson will be to familiarize participants with the term of databases and the basics of query building. During the lesson each participant will practice the basic elements related to databases under the supervision of the tutor. During the lesson the CRUD concept will be presented - the most frequently used operations in databases, i.e.: adding data, reading data, editing and deleting.

This is a continuation of Lesson 1, developing the student's knowledge of additional skills related to basic operations - the student will learn methods and ways of deleting and editing data.

The purpose of the lesson will be to familiarize with the secrets of searching and selecting the data we want to retrieve from the database and to present the applications of such queries. After the lesson, students will be able to create queries corresponding to the problems.

This lesson will explain how to sort or group the results using SQL. In addition, it will show the difference between grouping and sorting and the situations in which we use one or the other solution.

The aim of the lesson is to broaden the knowledge from previous classes and learn about new possibilities of the SQL language. Students will learn what the NULL value is and what it is used for, and learn about the possibilities of the SELECT operation. In addition, new keywords will be presented, often used when defining the table.
